We had the pleasure of working with Chokolat Studios to cover our wedding photography needs. Alejandra and her keen eye enhanced what our venue, The Long Island Aquarium, had to offer. We felt comfortable choosing Chokolat Studios because we are familiar with Alejandra’s work as a photojournalist. We love her documentary style because she is able to capture beauty without overly posing her subjects. We had no doubt that Alejandra would do an excellent job, but we are truly delighted with the effort she went through to provide us with the best possible wedding photography experience. Alejandra worked in an unobtrusive manner and helped create a stress-free environment in which we could just be ourselves. As a result, the photographs she captured are funny, sweet, and are truly representative of the joy we felt that day. She arrived early in the day to ensure that she was able to photograph all of the pre-wedding preparations. Alejandra worked well with the videographers to coordinate several shots and scenes together as the day progressed. Alejandra went above and beyond to capture beautiful images countless times throughout our busy wedding day. For example, when she spotted an amusement park ride on the aquarium’s waterfront, she did not hesitate to ask employees about going up on the ride for some one-of-a-kind photos. We also opted for a photo-booth which was set up using a marine mural in the aquarium as a backdrop. We provided a table full of props for our guests; Chokolat Studios and Alejandra’s assistant, Anngel, provided the rest. The photographs captured at the photo-booth station were unique, as it provided our guests with a chance to cut loose for some candid photos and for us to look back to see how our loved ones enjoyed the occasion. We would highly recommend Alejandra and Chokolat Studios to anyone who is looking for a wedding photographer whose style is unique and who can capture every moment of your special day.

Alejandra made the photo shoot fun and enjoyable the entire time. My husband was nervous about be photographed but she made him feel comfortable and he actually enjoyed it. She was very professional and creative and you could tell she put a lot of thought and passion into the job. We absolutely loved the final product. We worked with her 5 years ago and the photos still line our walls. People still give us compliments on them. I will use her for every life event in have. I want her to capture it all! She's the absolute best I've ever worked with.

When we look back on our Wedding Day -- amongst all of the truly amazing aspects of that magical day that stand out to us still was working with Alejandra. Truly. My husband and I are both artists in our own way, and we sensed Alejandra's dedication to her own artistry off the bat. Not only was she pleasant, calm and focused, she seemed to tune into who *we* were as a couple, the spirit of our Wedding vision and tap into our sense of style as a couple. Alejandra literally stooped to great lengths and soared to great heights to set up our shots. We were amazed at how dedicated she was, working with us to capture light during just the right time of day, and getting the perfect angels. We still talk about that to this day! With her, shooting was fun! This helped to alleviate some of the stress of what can be a stressful time. Simply put, Alejandra brought her A+ game to the work, and on top of that, we felt like we've gained friend for life. It was just one of those transcendent connections! And the photos - A-MAZING! They are simply breathtaking. So, the proof of her work is in the pudding of her photos. I would choose her again and recommend her to anyone, anywhere.

After seeing the simultaneous beauty and sincerity of Alejandra's photos, I knew I wanted her to capture our wedding memories on film. Then I learned that she is an Emmy Award winning photographer. Indeed, her photos have a rare quality of story-telling that balances authenticity and wonder. As far as working with Alejandra, I can tell you that my husband does not love being in front of the camera. He was at total ease with her. The photos reflected this. She was not evasive, she was at times playful, other times reverent, and totally respectful of the once-in-a-lifetime moments she was a part of. She is such a delightful person and her presence -- from our first interactions as prospective clients through her delivery of the photos -- was nothing short of professional, cheerful, and compassionate.
